Christian Seigneur is an expert in air pollution. He was a professor at École des Ponts ParisTech from 2010 to 2019 and was the director of the Atmospheric Environment Center (https://cerea-lab.fr), a joint laboratory of École des Ponts ParisTech and the R&D branch of EDF, a French Energy Group, from 2008 to 2017. Previously, he was vice president and head of the Air Quality Division at Atmospheric & Environmental Research, Inc. (AER) in the San Francisco Bay Area, California (1996-2008). From 1979 to 1996, he held various technical and management positions in consulting and engineering firms. He has participated in several scientific committees on air pollution issues. In particular, he was a member of Clean Air Scientific Advisory Committee (CASAC) Review Panels that advise the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for air quality regulations. He was also a member of the air pollution expert committee of the French Agency for Food, Environmental, and Occupational Health & Safety (ANSES). He received his M.S. from the Paris Institute of Chemistry (Chimie ParisTech) and his Ph.D. in chemical engineering from the University of Minnesota.
